Our Team

Ryan Shea- Founder

Ryan started The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe in 2018 when she unexpectedly lost her cat, Brody. She has been a Registered Nurse since 2010 in various hospitals, but now dedicates her life to her passion- saving cats. After successfully finding homes and caring for over 1500 cats over the last 5 years, Ryan and her team decided it was time to start their own 501c3, non profit, cat rescue. Ryan’s passion is super senior cats.

Karen Miglino

Karen began volunteering at the cafe in 2018 after adopting an FIV+ cat and finding her passion in the “sassy” and undersocialized cats. Karen is a Registered Nurse who works with the cats on weekends to promote those with special needs and personalities. She adopted our last “red collar cat”, Bootsie in 2019 and has made it her goal to help work with cats who people consider difficult.

Jordyn Valente

Jordyn started volunteering with us in 2021 and has fostered many kittens in her home. Jordyn has 4 cats of her own who all help when she brings fosters in. She is extremely helpful all year round but especially during kitten season!

Melanie Wildfeuer- Cafe Manager

Melanie began at The Shabby Tabby Cat Cafe in 2018 as a volunteer, caring for the cats. She has been fostering cats and kittens since 2010 and quickly moved from volunteer, to employee, to Manager. Melanie gets to know each cat inside and out, which is incredibly beneficial to their care and for their adopters. Melanie’s passion is FIV+ cats.

Alaina Cannizarro

Alaina has been working with us since 2022. She had reached out for help with a mom cat and kittens in her neighborhood, and soon after, began volunteering with us. Alaina is so attentive with the cats and helps assess their needs when we get them. She adopted a kitten, Gizmo, who had FIP, and successfully gave him injections for 84 days! He is the kitten in the photo, and is doing amazing now- an FIP Warrior!! Alaina often brings her 3 children to help with the cats and they are amazing helpers!! A true cat family and an asset to the rescue.
